The old proverb of “an Englishman’s home is his castle” seems to be the starting point for many people when it comes to their land and what they believe they are entitled to do with it. The reality can, however, be something quite different.
We have a great deal of experience handling boundary and right of way disputes and understand just how stressful they can be to all involved. We are sensitive of the passions and feelings that often run high with these cases. Our job is to seek to alleviate the stress and limit the fallout between neighbours by investigating the land in question and establishing the rights of the respective parties.
Steps can be taken to try and avoid the involvement of the Court. Disputes over boundaries and rights of way, including whether or not a right of way has been established over a passage of time, can be involved and require evidence to be gathered and land registration documents reviewed.
